CHANESKI NEWSY NOTES:
A Newsy Note from (proud Mom) Lee-Ann Chaneski:
Hi Family and Friends,
Some of you have already known that the Edison High School Jazz Band is excellent this year and that they made it to the State Finals. Well, the big event was last Friday night and they came in FIRST PLACE in the whole state of New Jersey! Scott plays with them on both the tenor saxaphone and clarinet. What fun he's had this year being with such a professional band! The other high school in Edison, J.P. Stevens High came in second place. I guess Edison music dept. is really doing something right!

Laura also has some other excitement to share.........she's going to be in Plays- in-the-Park this summer! She tried out for "Crazy for You" and got a really good dancing part (jazz AND tap dancing). She even has a name: Sheila, and some lines! The dates for the show are July 24th-Aug. 3rd (with no performance on Sunday 7/28). She's worked so hard on her dancing all these years and is really deserving!
And here's Laura Chaneski (top-right) in the Monday 7/29/02 performance of "Crazy for You". Congratulations, Laura... it was wonderful!
